Every chauffeur on Toplimo's roster is held to that same standard, whichever vehicle you book.
Recruitment & Vetting
Chauffeurs join our roster only after a background check, a review of their full driving record, and a minimum bar of professional driving experience in Stockholm. We're not staffing from a rideshare pool — every driver is hired specifically as a chauffeur, not converted from another platform.
Training & Protocol
Beyond driving skill, chauffeurs are trained in defensive driving, executive and VIP protocol, and client confidentiality — the practical skills behind things like knowing when to hold a door, when to stay silent, and how to handle a change of plan without making it your problem. Grooming and vehicle presentation are checked before every shift, not just on onboarding day.
Vehicle & Safety Standards
Every vehicle in the fleet is Mercedes-Benz, always within 2–3 model years, and carries commercial passenger insurance. Vehicles are inspected and detailed before each booking — not on a fixed weekly schedule — with safety systems, tyres, and fluids checked on the same cadence used by fleet operators internationally, regardless of how light or heavy the vehicle's booking calendar has been.
Consistency, Every Time
The standard doesn't change based on the vehicle you book or the time of day. Airport pickups are tied to your real flight number with automatic delay handling, corporate accounts get a consistent driver roster and monthly invoicing, and a real person is reachable if your plans change — the same operating bar our clients rely on across every service we offer.

What is considered a professional chauffeur standard?
In the world's major chauffeur markets — London, New York, Dubai, Singapore — a professional chauffeur is expected to meet a consistent bar regardless of city: a clean, verified driving record; formal vetting beyond a standard rideshare background check; ongoing training in defensive driving and executive protocol; and strict discretion with client information. It's the difference between a driver and a chauffeur.
Are Toplimo's chauffeurs licensed, insured, and background-checked?
Yes. Every chauffeur on our roster holds a valid Swedish commercial driving licence (taxiförarlegitimation), is covered under our commercial fleet insurance, and passes a background and driving-record check before their first booking.
Can I request the same chauffeur for repeat bookings?
Yes — this is standard for our corporate accounts and frequent travelers. Tell your concierge contact once and we'll assign the same driver wherever their schedule allows, so you're not re-explaining preferences on every trip.
Do Toplimo chauffeurs speak English and other languages?
All chauffeurs are fluent in English and Swedish. Several speak additional languages including German, French, and Arabic — let us know your preference when booking and we'll match you where possible.
